This stylish Dim Sum restaurant is located around the back of the Murjan block of JBR. Reasonably priced, they offer lots of Dim Sum plates in the 15-30Dhs range, as well as cheap all-you-can-eat deals. We loved the fried turnip cakes. One thing to watch out for though – the A/C was on full blast when we went there and the restaurant was freezing. They were kind enough to provide shawls for those who needed them though.

Peacock Chinese Restaurant

Its rare to find a really authentic Chinese restaurant in Dubai, but one look at The Peacock’s menu, with several types of Shark Fin Soup on the front page, and you know you’ve found one. The no frills menu leans towards Beijing and Szechuan cuisine, with a small selection of Dim Sum and some excellent Peking Duck. We also liked the Steamed Fish with Soy sauce, Spring Onions and Ginger.
