There are lots of Asian restaurants with great food in Dubai, but none quite matches the location of Thiptara. Sitting in what looks like a private villa at the end of The Palace hotel grounds, Thiptara extends out above the green-blue water next to the Burj Fountain.
While the location definitely has the wow factor, the interior is more subtle, offering refreshingly simple decor with a few refined splashes of Asian character. Tall windows offer stunning views of the Fountain, which erupts every hour from 6pm.
The food doesn’t disappoint either, with a range of delicious curries and fresh seafood. Most items on the menu will arrive spicy so make sure to tell them if you want a milder dish. We especially loved the Steamed Snapper with Chilli, Lemon and Garlic, but everything we tried was cooked and presented to perfection. A must try if you’re a fan of Thai food.

food was good but location incredible. took my parents here on a friday night and although it was a bit noisy they both absolutely loved it.
