From ChowDubai.com:We at ChowDubai have tried the Ruth’s Chris in Manhattan and we loved it, so when we heard that they were opening a restaurant in Dubai, we couldn’t wait to give it a try. Situated conveniently in the Monarch Hotel, it has already developed an enviable reputation for sizzling steaks and fresh seafood.
My date and I walked into the restaurant and were immediately impressed by the decor, an old-fashioned New York-style steakhouse vibe that feels as welcoming as it does refined. We nestled into the comfortable leather chairs, ready to enjoy an evening of good food and wine. Ruth’s Chris did not disappoint.
We ordered the lobster bisque soup and calamari to start. My date had the bisque and felt like a kid all over again, wanting to pick up her bowl and slurp up the little that was left (thankfully she resisted the temptation!). I tried the calamari – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, it was some of the best I’ve had.
Next up were the steaks, cooked absolutely to perfection and full of flavour. We followed the advice of our friendly waiter and shared sides – thank goodness we did, as the portions are enormous. Everything we tried was delicious and right up the standards you’d expect from a top steakhouse.
By this point we were feeling very satisfied with our night’s work, but a personal visit by the Chef convinced us to try the cheesecake. We thought, oh what the heck! Simply the best cheesecake I have ever tasted (and I have tasted many!).
We had a great evening at Ruth’s Chris and will certainly be going back. The friendly staff, delicious food and welcoming atmosphere have made it our new favourite steakhouse in Dubai. We’ve already made our next reservation!

I’ve taken clients, family and visitors from out of town to Ruth’s Chris, and had a great meal every time. Its the most reliable steakhouse in Dubai – love it!
